This is the only International Car Club dedicated exclusively to police vehicles. This club was created by Sgt. James Post, a retired 25-year veteran of the Kansas City, Missouri Police Department, after many hours of discussion with fellow lovers of the old black and whites. Formed in January of 1991, the club numbered sixty in the first three months and over two hundred by their first anniversary. Membership is now over 400 and members are from throughout the United States and Canada, as well as Overseas. This is a car club in the simplest form, there are no meetings, or paid officers... just a group of collectors with a common interest. State Chapters have been formed to organize participation in local events and the club sponsors a National Convention eash summer. All members are encouraged to share their cars with the public whenever possible, as restored cruisers are great 'PR' for an occupation that receives far too much bad press. If you are considering building a cruiser, this club can help you locate emergency equipment, door markings, and even the old cars too! Before driving a marked unit, you are encouraged to check your local laws. Usually good common sense is the best equipment to have in your cruiser! This is the only car club where "daily drivers" are proudly displayed next to the restorations in parades and at car shows.
